Description: Hofstra University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission seeks an associate director for campus visit. This position reports to the executive director for marketing and communications for enrollment management. The associate director for campus visit has the primary responsibility of managing the visitor experience for Hofstra University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission.
This position manages the various campus visit programming which includes but are not limited to the following: information sessions and tours, the Hofstra UpClose program, group visits, on-campus recruitment programs. The selected candidate will oversee the creation and implementation of new and existing programming, including first-year, transfer and school counselor visit programs and events.
This position will directly manage the assistant director for campus visit, 2 graduate assistants and approximately 35 paid student employees – providing supervision, training, mentorship and professional development.
The associate director for campus visit will develop relationships with various campus partners to help create memorable experiences for all visitors. He/she will serve as the primary liaison for on-campus programs, including collaboration with colleges/schools, faculty, and administrators. This person will also provide oversight of the Office of Undergraduate Admission’s reception area and will work to ensure visitors are provided with exceptional customer service.
Evening and weekend hours will be required in support of special projects and events.

Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Post-graduate degree preferred. Three to five years related experience required. Higher education, admission, campus visit, and event planning experience preferred. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator with excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and problem solve. Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite. A working knowledge of Salesforce is helpful. This individual will deal with a wide variety of constituents, including faculty, administrators, alumni, vendors, current students, prospective students and their families. The candidate must have a professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
