Description: Reporting to the Dean, Center for University Advising, performs a full range of secretarial duties at a senior level for the Dean and Center for University Advising. This position is the central point of contact for the center for students scheduling advising appointments and who need information related to the services the center provides. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: answering phones, troubleshooting phone calls and student concerns; scheduling appointments and meetings in Student Success CONNECT; maintaining a shared Access database for the tracking of transfer students throughout the advising process; processing required updates to student information so students can register for classes; submitting auditing forms to Student Accounts and completing and initiating the paperwork required for attendance; submitting key requests, ordering of office supplies, placing service calls for copiers and office equipment as needed; submitting work orders for building maintenance; tracks and manages purchases; submits check requisitions; prepares and updates log/report of transactions for internal tracking; maintains spreadsheet for incoming student advising appointments, making updates as necessary and indicating the current status; coordinates the schedules and oversees the work of student employees. May perform other duties not specifically defined above, but which require the same degree of skills and which are normally included within the above job title.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Qualifications: This position requires a detail-oriented individual who has the ability to multitask, work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including sensitivity and patience in helping resolve student issues required. May perform other duties not specifically identified above but which require the same degree of skills normally included within the above job title. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required. Knowledge and experience with Student Success CONNECT and Banner preferred.
