Description: The Director of Field Placement in the Department of Health Professions (HPR) is a full-time administrative position that is responsible for coordinating the field placement and outcomes assessment related functions associated with the programs in the Department of Health Professions. The Director will serve as the administrative liaison between the University and agencies/sites/organizations providing internship/field experiences to students in the undergraduate HPR programs. The Director will work closely, and communicate regularly, with the program directors, faculty instructors of the internship courses, and the dedicated supervisors and staff at internship field sites/agencies. Most importantly, the Director will work closely with the students in identifying and assigning appropriate field placements. In addition, the Director will be responsible for overseeing the generation and collation of supervisor, site and program evaluations. To fulfill these primary duties, the Director of Field Placement will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Meet with students to review interests and assign placement sites.

• Periodic communication with on-site internship/field placement supervisors/sites.

• Establish and vet placement sites and supervisor credentials.

• Coordinate contract agreements.

• Collaborate with faculty to develop, schedule and implement internship orientations for students and supervisors, as well as ongoing student reflection sessions.

• Manage the internship application, onboarding, portfolio development and evaluation procedures/timelines.

• Oversee/document students’ completion of placement/site pre-requisites such as fingerprinting, liability insurance, medical clearance, the child-abuse reporting seminar, etc.

• Develop, publish, and update program-specific and student-supervisor policy and procedure manuals.

• Develop and manage Qualtrics surveys to evaluate student, faculty and site supervisor experience. This will require preparing data reports to present to faculty and for accreditation requirements.

• Perform other duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skills and which are normally included within the above job title.

*Work Schedule*
Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. However, must be flexible to work during peak periods and be present at University functions.
Qualifications: • Master's degree and three to five years related experience.

• Possess excellent interpersonal/human relation skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office with exceptional initiative and follow- through skills.

• Detail oriented, organized and able to diplomatically prioritize conflicting demands.

• Ability to operate various software applications used for data collection and reporting, such as Microsoft Office, Qualtrics, Campus Labs, Adobe, Google Docs and similar programs.

• Work well independently and as part of a team.

• Must have a car and valid license to be able to visit new sites and confer with supervisors.
