Description: Hofstra University's School of Health Professions and Human Services, Department of Health Professions, is seeking applications for an anticipated full-time Clinical Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2020 in the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program. The Hofstra University entry-level Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program joined the Department of Health Professions, which includes professional preparation programs in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Sport Science, Athletic Training, Exercise Science and Health Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, teaching and maintaining curriculum in areas of expertise as determined by the Program Director, assisting with selecting, assisting with developing and maintaining fieldwork sites, assisting with admission, participating in the review process for ACOTE and advising and mentoring students. Additional responsibilities include teaching courses in the area of expertise, and serving on program, departmental, and university committees. Faculty report directly to the Occupational Therapy Program Director.

Qualifications: Candidates must be certified by the NBCOT, eligible for licensure in the State of New York, and must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in occupational therapy practice. Candidates must have an earned advanced degree (e.g., OTD, EdD, PhD, ScD). Demonstrated teaching experience and Level 1 and Level II supervision is preferred.
