Description: This position will perform general secretarial tasks, word processing, filing, attend department meetings to take minutes, etc.; answer telephone and/or in-person inquiries about Engineering programs; maintains confidential departmental and student files; orders office supplies; prepares purchase requisitions and places web/telephone orders for faculty and lab supervisors. Processes invoices and maintains departmental budget. Reviews monthly credit card and WB Mason statements. Makes travel, reception, and conference arrangements as needed. Prepares reimbursement and travel expense reports as needed. Coordinates faculty participation in campus events (transfer days, open houses, etc); schedules new faculty interviews; prepares checklist and coordinate files for tenure, promotion and appointments; coordinates senior design programs. Supports the High School Engineering program by taking care of administrative tasks. Supports co-op director with editing and design of presentations. Schedules, supervises and approves time cards of student assistants and department’s peer tutors. May perform other duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skill and which are normally included within the above job classification.

Monday - Friday, 10am - 2pm

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for working with faculty, students and colleagues. Must be able to prioritize and work on own initiative in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Banner experience preferred.
