Description: Reporting to the Clinic Director, the Coordinator of Audiology Services for the Long Island Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Consortium at Hofstra University will oversee operations of Audiology Services of the Saltzman Center Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2021.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manages the scheduling of clients
• Supervises AuD graduate students and part-time supervisors/graduate assistants
• Completes diagnostic assessment and CAP evaluations
• Completes hearing aid fittings, programming, and follow-up appointments
• Provides aural rehabilitation
• Manage Hearing Aid Dispensary; assess inventory and order supplies; maintain relationship with vendors and keep clinic up to date with technology; train AuD students to use technology and learn fitting techniques, complete contracts and learn other business aspects; attend product launches and manufacturer seminars; maintain all relevant best practice guidelines.
• Provides evaluation of student competencies and edit student reports
• Maintains clinical files and billing and administer surveys
• Calibration of clinical equipment
• Participates in AuD Consortium Council, Clinical Committee and SLHS Faculty meetings
• Coordinates clinical externships for 2nd and 3rd year students and maintain clinical student records
• Implements clinical policies and adhere to accreditation standards
• Serves on committees, and plan and attend program functions
• Teaches graduate students in the AuD consortium
• Participates in research projects with the faculty in clinic
• Collaborates and participate in various doctoral projects as needed

This is an onsite position; work for this role is performed on campus.

Qualifications: AuD required. NYS Licensed, ASHA certified audiologist with 5-7 years of clinical supervision experience required.
