Description: The Hofstra University Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for multiple part-time adjunct faculty positions to teach introductory physics lectures or labs in the Fall 2021 semester and beyond. We need dynamic individuals with appropriate scientific backgrounds to teach calculus- and algebra-based sections servicing multiple STEM major programs.

Qualifications: An MS or PhD degree in physics and teaching experience is expected, but degrees in closely related STEM disciplines will be considered. Depending upon degree and experiences initial appointments would be made at the rank of Adjunct Instructor through Adjunct Associate Professor. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
