Description: The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (IS/BAN) of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University invites applications for two anticipated tenure-track assistant professor positions starting in September 2022 – one focused on Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and the second on Cybersecurity Management and Privacy.

The IS/BAN Department offers BBA/MBA/MS Programs in information systems, cybersecurity, business analytics, and business operation & healthcare analytics. The Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center opened in 2019 as a joint project of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business and the Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science. The Center is a 1,000-square-foot facility equipped with AI-powered gamification learning systems and cutting-edge security devices. It supports hands-on labs and research for students and faculty, and creates partnerships with companies for projects.

The Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence position requires an earned doctorate (or ABD) in Business Analytics, Statistics, MIS/IS/CS or a closely related field. A successful applicant is expected primarily to teach business analytics courses, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytical programming courses (Python and R).

The Cybersecurity Management and Policy position requires an earned doctorate (or ABD) in MIS/IS/CS or a closely related field with research focus in cybersecurity. A successful applicant is expected primarily to teach classes in computer networks, cybersecurity technologies and strategies, information privacy and regulation, and digital forensics.

The successful candidates should also show evidence or potential of performing high-impact scholarly activities in the aforementioned areas by publishing in the peer-reviewed journals and presenting at academic conferences.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
• An earned doctorate (or ABD) in Business Analytics, Statistics, MIS/IS/CS, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution
• Demonstrated the ability to publish in respected peer-reviewed journals
• Demonstrated evidence or potential to teach online courses with excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experiences and/or certificates in analytics tools such as SAS, SPSS, SAP, Tableau, and CISCO are a plus.
• A strong desire to work in a collaborative environment, support our students through the mentoring process, and serve the Hofstra community.
