Description: The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University seeks applications for the position of Assistant Director of Information Technology Services. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Services, the Assistant Director works with the Director to assist faculty, administrators, and staff with training and direct technical support of their courses, projects, and daily duties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide outstanding customer service and support to all Law School constituents
• Assist the Director of Information Technology Services in executing the long and short term departmental and greater institutional objectives of the Law School
• Complete maintenance, testing, research, and project development related to classroom and instructional technology
• Support and implement technology-driven initiatives throughout the school of law
• Collaborate with the Help Desk Manager in deploying student technicians
• Directly contribute to hardware/software/classroom technology upgrades and implementation
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Some nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; a post-graduate degree is desired.
The ideal candidate will have two years of experience working with information technology in an academic environment, ideally in an instructional technology/design or help desk capacity. Experience in classroom technology support is essential, including experience in supporting Crestron Technology and the use of automated recording systems such as Echo360. Experience with PC and Apple hardware, software, and network troubleshooting is required. Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and Adobe products is strongly desired. The successful candidate will also have exceptional communication and customer service skills to effectively interact within an academic community, strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail, and flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks.

Experience with Blackboard, Kaltura, Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Listserv software, Examsoft, Audio/Visual Equipment, and knowledge of Universal Design/Accessibility tools is highly desirable.
