Description: The Department of Psychology at Hofstra University invites applications for TWO anticipated full-time, tenure-track assistant professor positions in Clinical Psychology beginning September 2022. Candidates with interests in any area of child, adolescent, or adult psychopathology and psychological treatment, are encouraged to apply. The position is primarily for the Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology, although some undergraduate teaching is possible as well. Our Ph.D. program follows the scientist-practitioner model and faculty members' clinical orientation is primarily cognitive behavioral (e.g., cognitive therapy, behavioral analysis, exposure therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy). The ideal applicant will complement the existing core faculty members’ areas of expertise. Qualifications: Applicants must be certain that their PhD in clinical psychology will be awarded by August 31, 2022. Candidates should show clear evidence of research productivity along with the potential to develop an independent program of research, and a significant commitment to teaching and supervision.
