Description: The Maurice A. Deane School of Law invites applications for an anticipated opening for an assistant professor of legal writing. This is a full-time faculty position with a two-year contract, commencing in the Fall of 2022. Upon successive renewals, this position could lead to eligibility for presumptively renewable five-year contracts.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a J.D. degree and have demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, analysis, and oral communication skills. Hofstra is particularly interested in applicants with previous experience teaching legal writing, although this is not a requirement. Applicants who have taught foreign law students are also of interest to the Committee. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
