Rowan Ricardo Phillips

Rowan Ricardo Phillips is the author of two books of poetry: Heaven (2015) and The Ground (2012). He is the winner of a 2015 Guggenheim Fellowship, the 2013 PEN/Joyce Osterweil Prize for Poetry, and a 2013 Whiting Writers' Award. He is the author of the critical volume When Blackness Rhymes with Blackness (2010) and translator of Salvador Espriu's story collection Ariadne in the Grotesque Labyrinth (2012).
