Successful "Dinner in Africa" (Second in a series of "Diversity Dinners") held in the Department- February 28, 2013

The Get Global Student Club along with the Department of Global Studies and Geography held "Dinner in Africa" on Thursday evening, February 28, 2013. Hofstra students and faculty from various countries in Africa shared information, artifacts, stories, and delicious dishes from their cultures. A gathering of 68 people made the evening a lively success. It was the second in a series of planned "Diversity Dinners." With funding provided by the HCLAS Dean's Office as well as the Office of the Provost, this series of diversity events aims to broaden understanding across cultural divides and to foster student curiosity in our increasingly globalized world.
