Department saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Masaharu (George) Inaba, who taught geography at Hofstra from 1960-1991

In July the Department was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Masaharu (George) Inaba, who taught geography at Hofstra from 1960-1991. The Department owes him a great debt for keeping the flame of geography alive at Hofstra during the difficult times during the 1970s and 1980s. Dr Inaba’s family will be creating a scholarship in his name to help enable deserving students to major in the Department.
