Would you like to get an inside perspective on life at Hofstra as an HUHC student by visiting with HUHC students and talking with them informally and off the record? Then make plans to visit.
Shadow Visits - overnight
Shadow visits are the best way to get to know what HUHC has to offer. You arrive on a Monday or Wednesday afternoon and stay overnight with an HUHC host student in one of the honors residence halls. You'll be welcomed into informal conversations in the lounges or on the hall where you'll get the kind of information about Hofstra and HUHC that can't be communicated via brochures or websites. The next day you'll "shadow" your host as s/he attends Culture & Expression as well as classes related to your prospective major (when possible).
Shadow visits are easy to arrange. Contact us by email or phone (516-463-4842) to let us know when you'd like to come and we'll do our best to make arrangements.
Shadow visits begin after February 1 and end on March 14 and are available only to admitted students who have already been invited to join HUHC.
Hofstra Admissions Events
Throughout the year, Hofstra University holds day-long open house events for prospective and admitted students. At many of these the HUHC Dean's present a comprehensive overview of HUHC's curriculum, programs and activities. Always present are HUHC student ambassadors who can fill you in what HUHC is like from the students' point of view.
Visit with the Deans?
The HUHC Deans are often available to sit down with you and your parents to talk through what life in HUHC would mean for you given your particular needs and interests. Contact us ahead of time via email or by phone (516-463-4842) and we'll do our best to arrange an appointment.
