Congratulations, once again, on your acceptance to Hofstra’s nursing program.
Dress Code:
Classroom Sessions – When reporting to class at the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies, you must adhere to business casual attire.
Center for Learning and Innovation – On days when you are expected to report to CLI, appropriate business casual attire is required. You must adhere to no jeans or leggings, sneakers, flip flops, and sweat suits. Please keep in mind that classroom climates vary, so please bring a sweater or jacket to ensure your personal comfort. If you are attending a clinical program in the Patient Safety Institute, please wear appropriate clinical attire - scrubs and/or a lab coat. Students dressed inappropriately will be asked to leave, and change into appropriate attire.
Structure Lab at the School of Medicine – You will be provided two sets of scrubs for the sole use at the Structure Lab. These scrubs are not to be worn anywhere outside of the lab. You are responsible for cleaning the scrubs.
Computers:
Being a student at the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies will require you to have a laptop with the following components:
- The latest version of Google Chrome or Internet Explorer, or Safari on Apple laptops
- A webcam and microphone to be used for the virtual PEARLS sessions
