MS, Taxation - 30 credits

Day and evening classes, full time and part time

Hofstra’s Master’s degree in Taxation is a technical degree that will give you deep expertise in all aspects of taxation. The curriculum allows students with accounting backgrounds to specialize and, when combined with the appropriate undergraduate coursework, meets the academic requirements for New York State licensure in public accountancy.

The taxation program of the AACSB-accredited Zarb School of Business aims to give students a broad background in tax law. It can be tailored to meet the specific needs of tax attorneys or certified public accountants who desire to become topic experts.

Courses are taught by full-time faculty or industry experts, all of whom have extensive experience in the field.  The department’s Academic Advisory Board, which includes executives from such prestigious companies as TD Bank, KPMG, Ernst & Young, LLP; Grant Thornton, LLP and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP., ensures that the program addresses issues facing businesses today.

Active chapters of established professional organizations, such as the Institute of Management Accountants, as well as Hofstra’s strong alumni network, offer access to career-enhancing programs and events. And, the resources provided by Zarb’s Graduate Business Career Services center will help you launch your taxation career.
