Selected to be co-editor of a special issue of the Journal of Business Ethics on Positive Organizational Ethics. Additionally, along with her co-editors, she wrote the editorial for this issue.
Dr. Comer was also appointed as associate editor for the Journal of Management Education where she has served in this capacity from 2010 to 2012.
Dr. Matthew Sonfield Re-elected Dean of the Fellows of the Small Business Institute
Dr. Matthew Sonfield, The Robert F. Dall Distinguished Professorship in Business has been re-elected as the dean of the fellows of the Small Business Institute®. He was first elected to this leadership position in 2006. The Small Business Institute® was established in 1976 and is the premier academic organization dedicated to small business and entrepreneurship research and field-based pedagogy. Dr. Sonfield has authored more than 300 scholarly articles and papers in double-blind, peer-reviewed academic journals and conference proceedings.
Dr. Debra Comer Named Editor of a Special Issue of the Journal of Management Education
Dr. Comer, Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship was named editor of a special issue of the Journal of Management Education on crisis management education, published in February 2013 (Volume 37, Issue 1). As guest editor, Dr. Comer wrote the editorial “Educating Students to Prepare for and Respond to Crises that Affect Organizations: An Introduction to the Special Issue.” She also participated in a podcast interview of Paul Shrivastava, Ph.D., distinguished professor and director of the David O’Brien Centre for Sustainable Enterprise at John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, Montreal, who, with co-authors Ian Mitroff and Can Alpaslan, contributed an article to this special issue.
