Why did you come to the Zarb School?
Zarb is a reputable school. It has the erudite faculty, great facilities, and offers an excellent location that is so close to New York City. All of these factors made the Zarb School an ideal place for studying and living.
I am a Finance PhD student in Old Dominion University right now. Dr. Ehsan Nikbakht, Dr. Na Wang, and Dr. David Sessions supported me during the whole PhD application process. The life of a PhD student is not easy, but the experience I had at the Zarb School gave me the skills and confidence to face the challenge. When I study for my PhD, what I learned at Zarb gives me a strong advantage.
How did the Zarb School prepare you for your career?
The Zarb School has excellent faculty. The curriculum is well organized, covering practical knowledge in several areas. The faculty helped me to build a solid foundation of skills and knowledge that I continue to use regularly both in my academic and professional endeavors.
What is your favorite memory/experience at the Zarb School?
I always remember the first day I arrived the Zarb School. It was not only the first day I arrived at school, but also my first day in the United States. Naturally, I had mixed emotions. I was excited, curious, nervous, and ambitious. All my concerns dissipated when I realized what a great choice I made in choosing the Zarb School.
What advice do you have for students who want to follow in your footsteps?
Understanding your career plan is important. There are so many resources available at the Zarb School that can build your portfolio for your future career. Students should actively communicate with faculty and make the most of their experience. Zarb faculty are compassionate and knowledgeable – always willing to help you achieve your dreams.
