Hofstra Travel Update

As part of Hofstra’s response to COVID-19, our admission counselors will not be traveling until further notice. However, we are pleased to offer a variety of in-person visit opportunities and virtual events that allow you to tour our beautiful campus and get to know us better. We will notify you via email with any changes to our travel plans, and we encourage you to visit hofstra.edu/safestart for the most up-to-date information on our COVID-19 response.

Campus Tours

Hofstra University is offering a very limited number of campus tours at this time. Reservations are required. Walk-in tours will not be available.

The most important thing each of us can do to ensure a successful visit is follow the University’s health and safety requirements, which include mask-wearing and maintaining a physical distance of at least six feet whenever possible. Visitors coming from a state covered by New York’s travel advisory must quarantine for 14 days before coming to campus. Being a part of the Hofstra Pride is a responsibility, and we expect every member of the community and our visitors to do their part to keep all of us safe by following the guidelines outlined at hofstra.edu/safestart. Upon arrival, all visitors must complete the mandatory health screening. If you answer yes to any question in the screening, you will not be permitted on the Hofstra campus.

Guided Campus Tour*

Take a campus tour with one of our Pride Guides (student tour guides) in small groups of two to three families as we guide you through Hofstra's campus!

Highlights of our information session will be emailed to you ahead of your visit. Upon arrival, you'll tour campus with one of our Pride Guides (student tour guides). During your campus tour, Pride Guides will point out to you Hofstra’s Student Center, Axinn Library, and many of the academic facilities available to undergraduate students. Combined, this visit will help you discover if Hofstra is a place you can call home.

Please note your tour will be an outdoor walking tour. Residence halls will not be available as part of your tour. We will use virtual options to show you these spaces. We will only be able to show the inside of buildings on weekday afternoons and during all tours on Saturdays and Sundays – when classes are not in session. During other tour times, we will use virtual options to show you these spaces.
