Bio

Dr. Jennifer Rich teaches writing and rhetoric in the Department of Writing Studies and Rhetoric, Shakespeare for the Department of English and courses in feminism for the Women’s Studies Program at Hofstra University.  She has published widely in Shakespeare, writing studies, rhetoric, and pedagogy.  Since 2014, Rich has published a book-length critical examination of the philosopher, Theodor Adorno. Her book, Introduction to Modern Feminist Theory, was released as a second edition and paperback in 2015.  She has also been involved in continuing grant work with colleagues in Engineering and Psychology to examine the effective integration of writing exercises into engineering courses. For this work, she has received a NSF grant in 2012.  She also participated in the Hofstra University Distinguished Faculty Lecture in Spring of 2017.
