Bernard H. Dickman

Associate Professor of Information Systems and Business Analytics

Dr. Dickman received a B.S. in mathematics from Brooklyn College. He graduated from New York University with an M.S. in mathematics and a Ph.D. in operations research.

For 15 years Dr. Dickman worked for the Celanese Corporation as a management sciences consultant. During his years at Celanese, he solved problems in the areas of production, inventory and distribution (including international problems). He has published, as well as presented at conferences, several articles describing his work.

Before coming to Hofstra University, Dr. Dickman taught in the M.B.A. programs at Fordham University and Pace University.

Current research interests include mathematical programming, facility location and scheduling. His work in these areas has been published in the Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, the American Journal of Mathematical and Management Sciences, Naval Research Logistics and Computers & Operations Research.

Dr. Dickman's articles have also been published in the following international publications: Tradition, Higayon, Opsearch, Omega and the Journal of the Operational Research Society.
