Andrzej Kozikowski

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology

Dr. Kozikowski is a research analyst in the Division of Community Health and Health Services Research, part of the Department of Medicine/Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology and Prevention at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Professions and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. At Northwell Health, Dr. Kozikowski assists clinical departments in various research projects by providing scientific consultation in research design, statistical analysis, manuscript development, and grant proposal writing and implementation. At Hofstra University, Dr. Kozikowski teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in research methods. His current research focuses on investigating innovative ways to provide the highest quality of care for patients —whether in the hospital or the community. Dr. Kozikowski has published articles on palliative care consultations, senior needs in suburban communities, end-of-life care training for residents, and positive psychology in the workplace. His most recent publication investigated the under-recognition of osteoporosis in men. Dr. Kozikowski received a doctorate in Applied Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University where he received the H. Alan Robinson Award for his dissertation work. He also holds a Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University and a double bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Stony Brook University.
