Heather S. Waldon

At the age of 16, Heather Waldon joined Boston Ballet where she had the opportunity to perform a wide range of choreography including classics such as Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty as well as contemporary works choreographed by Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, Bill T. Jones and Ralph Lemon. After seven years with Boston Ballet, Heather went on to join Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago. At Hubbard Street, she performed Tharp’s Bakers Dozen and was a featured dancer in works by Margo Sappington and Lou Conte. Heather then went on to San Francisco and was a founding member of Robert Moses’ company Kin and performed in works by Arturo Fernandez and Kate Foley. After moving to New York City, she became a founding member, dancer and rehearsal director for the Sean Curran Company. In addition to dancing for Mr. Curran, Heather has also staged many of his works at universities including Barnard College, Ailey/Fordham, Roger Williams University, the Boston Conservatory, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and Marymount Manhattan. Heather has been on faculty at the Boston Conservatory, Bucknell College, DNA, Peridance, Mark Morris Dance Group and NYU Tisch. She has also performed with Richard Move, Molissa Fenly, Liz Gerring and The Metropolitan Opera. Currently, Heather is volunteering and teaching as part of the “Dance for PD” program (movement classes for Parkinson’s patients) which is associated with the Mark Morris Dance Group.
