Bio

Dr. Jingquan Li is an associate professor of Information Systems and Business Analytics. He previously worked as a tenured professor of Information Systems at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. He has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has taught many different IS/BA courses both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Li is currently teaching structured systems analysis and design, data mining, data visualization, Java, introduction to computer concepts and software tools in business, and others.

Dr. Li is a leading researcher in information privacy and security, health information technology, and business analytics. His current research projects focus on addressing privacy and security issues associated with electronic health records, online social networks, open medical data, and big data analytics. He is also conducting research on business intelligence, personal health records, electronic health, and primary and secondary uses of business data.  Dr. Li has published his work in peer-reviewed outlets such as the Journal of American Medical Informatics Association, Journal of Medical Internet Research, IEEE Publications, Decision Support Systems, Population Health Management, and others.
