Description:

Fall, Spring
A function-based approach to the study of algebra and trigonometry, with particular focus on the polynomial, rational, trigonometric, and exponential/logarithmic functions. The concepts studied in this course are fundamental to the study of calculus and most of the mathematical applications to the sciences.

 
Semester Hours: 4 
Prerequisites:

A grade of Pass in MATH 006A or Math Placement scores as interpreted by advisement. No credit is given for this course if taken after passing MATH 071. Credit is given for Math 050 or MATH 050C, but not both.
