AMBUCS
Since 1955, National AMBUCS, Inc. has awarded scholarships to students pursuing degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and hearing audiology. To date, more than $9.1 million in scholarships have been awarded to over 16,000 students. Students must be U.S. citizens accepted in a graduate-level program that is accredited by the appropriate therapy profession authority in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, or hearing audiology. Assistant or undergraduate programs are not eligible. Awards are based on financial need, commitment to local community, character for compassion and integrity, and career objectives.

American Art Therapy Association
The American Art Therapy Association and its generous donors provide a number of scholarships annually which are presented at a special ceremony during the AATA's Annual Conference. The scholarships are intended to reward excellence within the student body and profession. The scholarship awards process is highly competitive. Scholarships include Laura Greenstone Memorial Scholarship, Dr. Ellen G. Horovitz Spiritual Art Therapy Scholarship, Pearlie Roberson Annual Scholarship Award, New Professional Scholarship Award, Annual Student Scholarship Awards.

American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT)
Each year, AAMFT and the Research & Education Foundation honors individuals for their unique contributions to MFT research and practice. We invite you to nominate or apply for the awards described below. Award recipients for 2020 were announced in the summer. All nominations and applications are submitted online. Awards include Cumulative Contribution to Family Therapy Research Award, Outstanding Contribution to Marriage and Family Therapy Award, Outstanding Volunteer Service Award, AAMFT Excellence in the Media Award, Training Award, Practice Award, Organizational Contribution Award, Outstanding Research Publication Award, Graduate Student Research Award, Dissertation Award, Master’s Thesis Award, Diversity Scholarship for Emerging Leaders, Minority Stipends, and Distinguished Leadership Award.

American Association of University Women
One of the world’s largest sources of funding for graduate women, AAUW provided $4.3 million in funding for fellowships and grants to 270 outstanding women and nonprofit organizations in the 2019–20 academic year. Due to the longstanding, generous contributions of AAUW members, a broader community of women continues to gain access to educational and economic opportunities — breaking through barriers so that all women have a fair chance. Fellowship and grant recipients perform research in a wide range of disciplines and work to improve their schools and communities. Their intellect, dedication, imagination, and effort promise to forge new paths in scholarship, improve the quality of life for all, and tackle the educational and social barriers facing women worldwide. American College of Healthcare Executives
Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship
The foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives established this scholarship in honor of Albert W. Dent, the first African American Fellow of ACHE. This scholarship is offered to provide financial aid to minority students in healthcare management graduate programs to help offset tuition costs, student loans, and expenses. Offered annually, the Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship is designated for minority students enrolled in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program. Each scholarship is worth $5,000. Between the Dent and Foster G. McGaw scholarships, ACHE awards up to 15 scholarships each year.

American Counseling Association
The American Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association Foundation are honored to present the Graduate Student Awards of Excellence to recognize and reward an outstanding cadre of graduate students preparing for careers in the field of professional counseling. Awards include Graduate Student Ethics Awards for Master’s Degree Students, the ACA Graduate Student Ethics Awards for Doctoral Degree Students, the ACA Future School Counselors Awards, and the ACA Tomorrow’s Counselors Awards.

The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) Scholarships
Over 50 scholarships are available annually from AOTF and its collaboration with state occupational therapy associations. AOTF offers scholarships to students enrolled in occupational therapy programs at all levels. Corporations, charitable organizations, private individuals, and state occupational therapy associations contribute funds for the scholarships. Although each award has its own requirements, all recipients must be currently enrolled full time in an occupational therapy educational program.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) invites full-time students who will be or are currently enrolled in a graduate program in communication sciences and disorders to apply for graduate scholarships. Scholarships are available to students who are undergraduate seniors or who are currently pursuing master's or doctoral degrees. Both research and clinical doctorate candidates are eligible. Within the overall Graduate Student Scholarship program, funding opportunities include General Scholarships - $5,000 each awarded to up to 15 general graduate students entering or enrolled in master's or doctoral programs of study and Endowed Scholarships - $5,000 each available for up to nine graduate students awarded for special purposes in the following categories – International Student Scholarship, Minority Student Scholarship, and NSSLHA Scholarship. Applicants who wish to be considered for any of these endowed scholarships must indicate this during the Graduate Student Scholarship application process.

Delores B. Chandler BOTC Scholarship
New York State Black Occupational Therapy Caucus
The Delores B. Chandler Scholarship is awarded to deserving Black occupational therapy students at the annual Kwanzaa Celebration. To be eligible, the occupational therapy student and the occupational therapy assistant student must have completed two semesters of the Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistant program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have demonstrated community service.

E.K. Wise Scholarship
The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
AOTA's E.K. Wise Scholarship supports students from diverse backgrounds who can meet E.K. Wise’s and the Association’s objectives of developing a workforce to meet society’s diverse occupational needs in underserved areas or communities. Applicants must be enrolled (or accepted) in a full-time postbaccalaureate entry-level occupational therapy educational program, demonstrate a sustained record of outstanding academic achievement, demonstrate leadership and community service, be able to contribute to a diverse workforce, and be a member of AOTA.

Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship
The Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives established this scholarship in honor of Foster G. McGaw, the founder of the American Hospital Supply Corporation. This scholarship is offered to provide financial aid to students in healthcare management graduate programs to help offset tuition costs, student loans, and expenses. Offered annually, the Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship is designated for students enrolled in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program. Each scholarship is worth $5,000. Between the McGaw and the Albert W. Dent scholarships, ACHE awards up to 15 scholarships each year.

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation (PPPS)
The Harry S. Truman Scholarship is the premier graduate fellowship in the United States for those pursuing careers as public service leaders. The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation – the federal memorial to our 33rd president – awards merit-based scholarships to college students who plan to pursue careers in government or elsewhere in public service. Truman Scholars receive up to $30,000 for graduate or professional school, participate in leadership development activities, and have special opportunities for internships and employment with the federal government. The Foundation has supported Truman Scholars in many fields of study, from agriculture, biology, engineering, technology, medicine, and environmental management, to fields such as economics, education, government, history, international relations, law, political science, public administration, nonprofit management, public health, and public policy.

Helen P. Cleary Scholarship
The Helen P. Cleary Scholarship provides financial support to students enrolled in a health education related degree program to take the national Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) examination. The scholarship honors Dr. Cleary who was instrumental in establishing NCHEC in 1989 and received the first CHES® credential (CHES #1). Up to six scholarships will be awarded annually – each worth approximately $440 – to cover the examination registration fee and study materials.

Microsoft Scholarships
Microsoft awards tuition and conference scholarships each year to encourage students to further their learnings in Computer Science and related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines. Recipients for the scholarship will be awarded in recognition of their demonstrated passion for technology, academic excellence, and leadership while working to push the software industry forward. We strongly encourage underrepresented groups to pursue STEM fields of study as we greatly value a broad range of perspectives and contributions. We are especially committed to offering scholarships to those individuals from backgrounds that may have historically been underrepresented in the technical field. We prioritize scholarship applications that demonstrate exceptional leadership work in the promotion of diversity in STEM disciplines at their university.

Morris K. Udall Undergraduate Scholarship
The Morris K. Udall Foundation was established by an Act of Congress in 1992 to honor Morris Udall’s 30 years of service in the House of Representatives. Its purpose is to support “Scholarship and Excellence in national environmental policy.” Typically, the Foundation awards 80 merit-based scholarships to outstanding sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue careers related to the natural environment; to Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to tribal public policy; or to Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated a commitment to careers related to Native American health care.

NBCC Foundation Scholars and Fellows
Supporting counselors-in-training is integral to the Foundation’s mission. By providing scholarships and fellowships, the Foundation increases the number of counselors committed to helping priority underserved communities. The Foundation offers scholarships and fellowships to master’s and doctoral counseling students, training awards to individuals earning the BCC certification, and professional development awards to CCE credential holders.

Society for Public Health Education
Vivian Drenckhahn Student Scholarship
This $2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to three deserving full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are national SOPHE members and who have excelled academically, demonstrated a commitment to addressing the public’s health through a career in health education, and who have demonstrated financial need. Students applying for this award must be currently pursuing a health education degree (e.g., health education, community health education, public health education, school health education), and must have completed at least one-third of coursework required for their major.

SOPHE 21st Century Scholarship
This $800 award provides conference support to full-time undergraduate and graduate level students to attend the SOPHE Annual Conference or the SOPHE Advocacy Summit. These experiences help SOPHE build a strong pipeline of health education leaders with the skills to address today’s health challenges. This award provides event support to full-time undergraduate and graduate level students who are SOPHE members at the national and/or chapter levels to facilitate their professional development and attendance at SOPHE's events. Applicants will be able to attend the Annual Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C.

Teach New York
The Hofstra graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology has a contract with the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) which awards scholarships to qualified individuals under the Teach New York program. A student may apply directly to NYCDOE for the scholarship once the student is matriculated in the graduate program. As the NYCDOE pays the award recipient's full tuition, students who hold this scholarship are not eligible for additional department scholarships.

Women Techmakers Scholars
The Women Techmakers Scholars was established in honor of Dr. Anita Borg, founder of the Institute for Women and Technology, who devoted her life to revolutionizing the way we think about technology and advocating on behalf of women and minorities in the computer and technology fields. In the spirit of furthering Dr. Borg’s vision and values, Google is pleased to support the Anita Borg Scholarship through which Google hopes to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become role models and leaders.
