Featuring the all women, feminist and Grammy Nominated Mariachi Band, Flor De Toloache, join Intercultural Engagement & Inclusion as we listen to the music and wisdom of this fabulous cultural phenomenon on campus. Performances by Flor De Toloache, facilitated dialogue and open question and answer session will make up the program. Come celebrate Latinx Heritage Month and learn about this NYC based group doing important work around the topics of race, ethnicity and gender. Open to the community. Free Lunch Provided. Questions? Latinx Heritage Month Friday Flix: Mala Mala

Friday Flix is a film series dedicated to exploring topics pertaining to a specific heritage. In September we celebrate Latinx Heritage and perspectives within that cultural sphere. This year we will be showing the film “Mala Mala” highlighting the Drag and Trans communities of Puerto Rico. Join us for the film, and a discussion afterwards. All are welcome. IEI’s Diversity, Dialogue and Dessert (DDD) Series is a time to explore more in depth a topic or perspective of a specific cultural identity group. in September, we will be co-sponsoring with the QTPOC Coalition and HOLA to explore the sexualization and fetishization of Latinx folks.
