International Student Orientation

All new international students must attend the required International Student Orientation, which provides students with information on immigration, academic requirements, including all the numerous services available to assist students make the most of their educational experience at Hofstra. Trips and events are scheduled during the week of orientation to acclimate new students to the campus as well as the local community.

Fall 2018 New International Student Orientation

International Student Orientation will take place Monday, August 27th - Wednesday, August 29th, followed by Welcome Week activities from Thursday, August 30th - Monday, September 3rd. Detailed information about orientation will be emailed to accepted students. Please note that international students are allowed to enter the U.S. no more than 30 days prior to the program start date listed on their I-20.

If you will be living on campus, the official day for new international students to move into the residence halls is Sunday, August 26 between the hours of 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. To request a place to live on campus, students must pay the housing deposit and complete the housing application. Questions regarding on-campus housing should be directed to the Office of Residence Life.
