New Group Exercise Classes are available this semester! All students, faculty, and staff members can RSVP beginning on Monday, September 4, 2023. You will be required to present a valid HofstraCard to check in to the Fitness Center.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Gentle Yoga Flow
This all-level gentle yoga class introduces the basics of the yoga practice. It is designed to help restore balance and soothe the nervous system, while moving mindfully through a sequence of poses at a modified, gentle pace to improve the mind-body connection, increase self-awareness, improve sleep, and reduce stress.

Hip Hop Dance
Step into the energetic world of a hip-hop dance class, where rhythmic beats meet dynamic movements. This vibrant and inclusive environment is buzzing with enthusiasm and creativity. With each step, students build strength, coordination, and self-expression, embracing the spirit of hip-hop culture and leaving the studio with a newfound sense of confidence and style.

Slow Flow Yoga
Slow Flow is a style of yoga that allows the student to take several rounds of breathe in each posture. It is an opportunity to slow down and dig deeper into body and breath awareness, helping to eliminate stress.

Core + Curve 101
In this energetic and fun-filled session, our experienced instructors Coach Ty will guide you through a series of challenging yet scalable workouts that are suitable for all fitness levels. You'll engage your muscles, boost endurance, and improve overall functional fitness, leaving you feeling empowered and accomplished. Be prepared to sweat, work hard, and experience a workout like never before!

Total Bootcamp
Join our invigorating Total Body Boot Camp class, designed to push your limits and transform your strength and fitness levels! This dynamic group class focuses on bodyweight exercises to target both the upper and lower body muscles with a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) style that keeps your heart rate up and maximizes calorie burn.

Step Body-Groove
Welcome to our high-energy Step Body-Groove class, where we'll elevate your workout with a fusion of jazz and hip-hop dance moves! Get ready to step up your cardio game as we combine the rhythmic intensity of step aerobics with the flair of jazz and the groove of hip-hop. This unique class guarantees a fun and exhilarating experience that will leave you feeling empowered and ready to dance your way to fitness!

Barre
A workout combining Pilates, Ballet and other strength training movements using high reps and low impact movements.

Spin
Indoor cycling workout focusing on endurance ,strength and intervals of low & high intensity work.

Yin Yasa Flow Yoga
A dynamic fusion using both Yin style of long-held passive poses with Yang style of Vinyasa (flow) for all levels. This class introduces a beautifully balanced combination of mindfully flowing through poses utilizing breath and balance to reduce stress, increase flexibility, improve sleep, and stabilize and regulate emotions.

Cardio/Core + More
A combination of low intensity cardio movements combined with movements focusing on the core.

All-levels Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa means “to be in a special way.” In this class we will strongly string together different poses, connected together by the breath, with options for everyone to customize each shape.

Gentle Yoga
Gentle yoga is a meditative practice that helps ease both physical and mental stress. The class will help you unwind from your day with gentle poses that will calm the nervous system and leave you feeling well-rested.
