Connect with Employers & Alumni

First and Second Year
Employer/Alumni Programs: Each semester Zarb Graduate Business Career Services (GBCS) schedules numerous events to connect our students to employers and alumni. Attend a minimum of three programs each semester. To RSVP for events, go to http://hofstra.edu/careerhub and log in with your ID and password. You will notice the Handshake icon on the far right. Go to Events on the left and search “MBA/MS” for all the dates and times offered.

Utilize our scheduled career programs to meet and get to know alumni, employers and professional presenters, learn about industry trends and career opportunities in business areas, and business culture and etiquette. Many of our students have made professional connections through participating in our programs, which have led to internships and full time employment opportunities.

  • Executive Speaker Series: Hear from experienced executive speakers throughout the year who can offer you the opportunity to learn and establish a professional relationship. Recent guests include executives from KPMG, Goldman Sachs, ABC, and Citibank. See recent photos from Graduate Executive Speaker Series
  • Alumni/Corporate Networking Reception: Enjoy wine and cheese while networking with over 40 Zarb alumni and corporate representatives from diverse corporate backgrounds.
  • Corporate Alumni Panels: Learn from some of our wonderful alumni as they share about their careers and the lessons they have learned along the way.
  • Corporate Visits: A group of students will have an opportunity to visit the headquarters of various companies, in order to learn all about the company and hear from some of their key leadership.
  • Corporate Information Sessions: Corporate representatives will come on campus to share about their company’s vision, mission, products and services, career paths and to tell our students about internships and job opportunities.

First and Second Year
Hofstra Career Fairs: Each year Hofstra offers students opportunities to connect with hundreds of employers at the Career Fairs. In the Fall, there is an Accounting, Finance & IT Career Fair, a General Career Fair for all majors, a Communications Career Fair, and a Health Sciences & Human Services Career Fair.  In the Spring, there is another General Career Fair for all majors. Many students have made important connections through the Career Fairs that have led to internships and job offers.

First and Second Year
E-mail Announcements:  Zarb Graduate Career Services will send all career related announcements via email to students Hofstra accounts unless otherwise stated. These include two weekly emails, Zarb’s Hot Jobs highlighting great jobs and internships, and The Week Ahead outlining the upcoming speaker events, networking opportunities and job fairs and Ahead Ahead outlining the upcoming speaker events, networking opportunities, job fairs and special announcements regarding other Hofstra events. Students should check their Hofstra email on a daily basis and if necessary have it forwarded to their personal email account.
