Booster Exemption Requests

Hofstra University policy requires that all students must be vaccinated against COVID-19, and must file proof of receipt of a booster shot by January 18, 2022, or within seven days of becoming eligible for the booster, if a student becomes eligible after January 18th. Students seeking a medical exemption from this requirement must submit an application and supporting documentation. Additional information and instructions can be found in the application document linked below.  

Requests for exemption are subject to University review; exemptions are not granted upon submission. You will be notified in writing to your University email address if the exemption has been granted or denied. If approved, the duration of the exemption will be noted.  Appeals will not be considered.

COVID-19 VACCINATION EXEMPTION POLICY and APPLICATION     

Hofstra University policy requires that all studentsmust be vaccinated before returning to campus. Newly enrolled students seeking a medical or religious exemption from this requirement must apply and provide the requested supporting documentation. Additional information and instructions can be found in the application documents linked below.

Only incoming students new to the University in Spring 2022 may submit vaccine exemption requests.
