About the Program
The MS in Medical Physics provides students with a strong foundation in the basic science of Medical Physics. Partnered with intensive training in one subspecialty of Medical Physics and exposure to a second, related subspecialty the program prepares its graduates for work in specialties that they have developed passion in. Student will have access to clinical experience in mentored practicums at four different sites within the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System.
The program’s ongoing seminars expose students to the highest current standards in clinical medical physics and medical ethics through outstanding guest lecturers from the health sciences and industry, training in research, and training in oral and written presentation. With the many opportunities for basic, applied and clinical research the program will culminate into a coordination with the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System Medical Physics Residency.
