About LPP
The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) is a New York State Education Department grant designed to foster student success, leading to graduation from high school and acceptance to college and/or entry into the workforce. LPP offers various programs and activities to improve students' chances to be successful in the classroom. Partnering with local businesses and agencies, LPP also encourages student internships to explore work experiences. LPP classes, workshops and programs are held on Saturdays and occasional weeknights. Classes are also offered at partner schools. Programs and activities are offered through the Saturday Scholars Academy and the Summer Scholars Academy. Parents of LPP participants are encouraged to join the parent component called Parent Involvement in Education (PIE). PIE members help facilitate student success through supportive parent committees.
