Community Partnerships: Financial Literacy and Business Education

The Frank G. Zarb School of Business has made a conscientious effort to bring financial literacy and business education into the lives of students prior to entering into their secondary education academic experience and to continue that wealth of knowledge as they continue with their college career. By partnering with corporate organizations such as Capital One Bank (Money & Me, Campus Entrepreneurship Challenge), Commerce Plaza, NASDAQ, NEFCU and Flushing Bank, the Frank G. Zarb School of Business has the ability to educate students as young as fourth grade and continue that education through their college experience with the Capital One Entrepreneurship Challenge.

“These programs, in addition to several other initiatives, are providing Zarb students with real life lessons regarding today’s challenging economic climate. These partnerships provide them with direct hands-on experience and corporate networking opportunities that will support them even after they have graduated from Hofstra University,” stated Dr. Patrick Socci, Dean, Frank G. Zarb School of Business. In the upcoming academic year, the Zarb School of Business continues to expand its long history of collaboration with numerous corporate and community sponsorships for the continuous good its students and the community.
