- Hofstra's new Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program features an innovative instructional model that combines distance learning, hybrid courses, and traditional, classroom-based instruction.
- Experiential learning (e.g., internships, externships, and field experiences) is integrated throughout each program.
- Programs are nationally accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE), Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. School of Health Sciences and Human Services
The newly-formed School of Health Sciences and Human Services at Hofstra University was created to address the increasing need for qualified professionals to work in the home, the school, the clinic, the work place, the hospital and other health care facilities, the government, and community agencies. Through competency based instruction, field experience and research training, students receive clinical education in approaches that maximize occupational, communicative, biological, psychological, social and interpersonal development across the lifespan.
