Lisa Henning is owner and chef of Queen of Cuisine Personal Chef Service (www.queenofcuisine.com) in southeastern Massachusetts. She launched her business in 2003, offering in-home cooking, cooking instruction for individuals or groups, and small dinner parties. In addition, she is executive chef for a local meal-assembly kitchen. She has been featured in the Boston press, including the Boston Globe, the Plymouth Bulletin, the Middleboro Gazette, and the Brockton Enterprise, and on radio stations WATD and WPEP.
Lisa graduated from Hofstra in 1987 with a degree in philosophy and a minor in speech-language pathology. In 1988 she earned a master’s degree in speech-language pathology also at Hofstra. From 1989 to 1994, she was a speech-language pathologist at United Cerebral Palsy in Roosevelt, NY. In 1994 she moved to Massachusetts, where she was a speech-language pathologist at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, NovaCare, South Norfolk County Association for Retarded Citizens and SouthCoast Hospital Group. She also served as facility rehabilitation director at Bethesda at Evanswood Center for Adults.
In 2003, while she was a speech-language pathologist at SouthCoast Hospital Group, Lisa attended the United States Personal Chef Institute's (USPCA) Culinary Business Academy in Cherry Hill, NJ, where she earned a Personal Chef Diploma. Soon after, she launched her business while still working as a speech-language pathologist. In 2005 Lisa decided to focus specifically in her business. That year she became a USPCA certified Culinary Inspirations instructor.
Lisa is the current president of the Old Colony Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) in Kingston, MA. BNI is the largest business networking organization in the world.
Lisa has been married to her husband, Alex Jimenez ’87, for 16 years. They live in Carver, MA.
