Find out what Erik's fondest Hofstra memory is... | more |
Only 10 short years after graduation, Erik Covitz '87 was able to purchase the company where he started his career. He is now president and chief executive officer of Worldwide TicketCraft in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Erik came to Hofstra University in 1983 from his home in Boston because he enjoyed the size and beauty of the campus. After earning a B.B.A. in finance, he started working in sales at TicketCraft in Bellmore, New York. In a short time, Erik moved to Florida to pursue the operations side of the printing business. In the summer of 1999, he formed his own company, Worldwide Ticket & Label. In January 2006 Worldwide Ticket & Label acquired the assets of TicketCraft, Inc. to form Worldwide TicketCraft. The New York facility continues to operate as the reserved ticket offset division, and the Florida headquarters produces hundreds of millions of thermal products every year.
Erik resides in Boca Raton, Florida, with his wife, Debbie, and two children. He is an active member of Rotary International and remains in touch with his brothers in Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity.
