Alpha Theta Beta Alumnae was created in October 1939 following the first Hofstra graduating class.

Our Goals

  • To provide an ongoing social and cultural environment for the sisters of Alpha Theta Beta Sorority

  • To form a liaison to provide educational and financial aid to sisters attending Hofstra University

In 1978, we became chartered by the Hofstra Alumni Senate. The AOB Scholarship was created in 1982, and endowed in 1988, to provide financial support for our undergraduate sisters. We have recently added two new awards:

  • Distinguished Academic Award
  • Distinguished Service Award

Our alumnae are very loyal and dedicated to the success of our organization. We have several meetings/socials throughout the year and provide support to our undergraduate chapter whenever possible. We also support Hofstra University through our donations to our scholarship and at events, such as Homecoming and Reunion Weekend.

Membership is always open!
To join, you must have been formally inducted into Alpha Theta Beta Sorority as an undergraduate.
