Delta Chi Delta Alumnae Association
∆X∆ Delta Chi Delta Alumnae Association was established during the sorority’s 10th Anniversary year in 1949. On March 10, 1993, we were officially chartered as an alumni organization by the Hofstra University Alumni Organization.
Our purpose is to provide an ongoing social and cultural environment for the sisters of Delta Chi Delta Sorority and to form a liaison that provides educational and financial aid to sisters attending Hofstra University.
Executive Board
On Monday, November 7, 2011, Delta Chi Delta Alumnae Association inducted a new E-Board during a small ceremony at Hofstra University’s Libby and Joseph G. Shapiro Alumni House.

75th Anniversary
In September 2013 Delta Chi Delta will celebrate its 75th anniversary. Committee members are needed to help plan this memorable event.
Please contact Meghan Attreed if you have an idea for an event or are interested in being a 75th anniversary committee member.
Alumni Database
We encourage you to update your contact information so we can communicate upcoming events easily and at a lower cost. If we lessen the cost of newsletter mailings, we can award scholarships in greater amounts. If you wish to provide us with your email address, please contact Geri DeRosa.
Scholarship
Every year, we plan to award an endowed scholarship to provide financial assistance to Delta Chi Delta sisters attending Hofstra University or a family member of Delta Chi Delta alumnae (both undergraduate and graduate students).
Membership
You are eligible for membership in the Delta Chi Delta Alumnae Association if you were successfully initiated into Delta Chi Delta Sorority during your undergraduate studies at Hofstra University and fulfilled at least two semesters as an active sister of Delta Chi Delta. Membership contributions remain at $25 per person, and are currently being collected for the 2012 fiscal year. The 2012 fiscal year runs from September 1, 2011, to August 31, 2012. For a Membership Contribution Form please click here. [PDF]
Why should you contribute to Delta Chi Delta Alumnae Association?
- It allows us to remain an active alumnae organization on Hofstra's campus.
- With 25 or more paid members we are considered an “Affinity Group” and are allotted certain privileges over other alumni organizations. For example, the Office for Alumni Affairs assists us in printing of alumni mailings, coordinates the flow of funds in our treasury, and we receive a prime location for our tent/tables at the Hofstra Fall Festival.
- Contributions allow us to award financial aid in the form of a scholarship to sisters and any relative of a DXD alumna attending Hofstra University.
- It allows us to organize social events and communicate them to our alumnae base.
- Membership contributions are fully tax-deductible.
Regional Reunion Chairs and Co-Chairs
We are looking for volunteers who can help organize Delta Chi Delta Alumnae Association events and reunions for sisters in your area (outside of the New York Metropolitan area). If you are interested, please contact Meghan Attreed.
Social Networking
Keep current with DXD. We have a private group established on Facebook. If you are on Facebook, we encourage you to join the group. We do plan to use our Facebook Web page to communicate upcoming events. If interested, please contact Geri DeRosa to be added to the group.
For additional information, please contact the Office of Alumni Affairs at (516) 463-7477 or via email.
