Bio:

Dr. Kassinove is a Full Professor with major responsibilities in the Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology. In addition to training students for the professional practice of psychology, he has published more than 75 articles in journals such as the Clinical Psychology Review and the Journal of Clinical and Counseling Psychology and has made more than 125 presentations at national meeting, such as those of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy. Dr. Kassinove serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Cognitive Psychotherapy and the Journal of Rational Emotive and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and is a board member of the American Board of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapy.

His major areas of interest surround the triggers, experience, expression, and outcomes of anger and aggression. In 1995, he published an edited book on Anger Disorders: Definition, Diagnosis, &Treatment. In 2002, with Dr. Chip Tafrate, he published Anger Management: The Complete Treatment Guidebook for Professionals. In 2006, also with Dr. Tafrate, he published DVD Video demonstrations to accompany Anger Management: The complete practitioner’s guidebook for the treatment of anger.

Dr. Kassinove is interested in looking at cross-cultural aspects of these problems. He has lectured on anger and aggression throughout the world including in Argentina, Denmark, Greece, India, Korea, Spain, and Russia.
