"Selections from the Weingrow Collection" features images, books, photographs, and flyers from the Weingrow Avant-Garde Art and Literature Collection. The collection was donated to the Hofstra University Special Collections Department in 1972 by two of Long Island's most prominent collectors and patrons of the arts, Howard L. and Muriel Weingrow. Outside of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, these items comprise the largest collection of materials related to Dada and Surrealist art.
