2009-2010 Dining Plan Options
Look no further than the Hofstra campus to find great value, variety and convenience! We offer flexible meal plans that fit your busy schedule and stay within your budget. With a variety of locations and convenient hours, you can connect, refuel, and save time and money with one of our meal plan options. Plus, all purchases made with your meal plan are sales tax-free!
You have a choice of 20 campus dining locations that accept your Hofstra Card: Student Center Café, Bits and Bytes, Kate & Willy's, Dutch Treats, Rathskellar, Hofstra Deli, Pizza Xchange, Maui Tacos, Cyber Café, Starr Café, Mediterranean Market, Java Connect, Pura Vida, Starbuck's Café on the Quad, Breslin Kiosk, Hofstra Law School Koisk, Axinn Library Cafe, Subway and The Netherlands which is newly renovated. Additional services accepting meal cards: Hofstra University catering and the Hofstra University Club.
Students should select one of the meal plans listed below. First-year resident students must choose either Level A, B or C.
All incoming first-year residents are required to purchase a meal plan from Level A - Level C. Commuting, transfer, and all upperclassman students can choose from Level A - F.
All incoming first-year residents are required to purchase a meal plan from Level 1 – Level 3. Commuting, transfer, and all upperclassman students can choose from Level 1 - 6.
Level A: Best Value, Most Convenience!
This plan provides you with 1,865 points that can be used at any of the 20 on-campus dining locations.

Level B:
This plan provides you with 1,760 points that can be used at any of the 20 on-campus dining locations.

This plan provides you with 1,630 points that can be used at any of the 20 on-campus dining locations.

*Commuter Meal Plan Level G:
This plan provides you with 375 points that can be used at any of the 20 on-campus dining locations.
Cost per semester: $375
*Level G is only available to non-resident students.
After you have selected and purchased one of the plans, the plan is activated on your HofstraCard, which is similar to a debit card. All campus dining locations accept the HofstraCard. All declining balance plans come with a predetermined number of points (dollars). One point is equivalent to one dollar. Points are deducted from the proper account each time a purchase is made. Points are non-refundable.
Fall semester points may be used from Thursday, August 27, 2009 through Friday, January 22, 2010. Unused fall semester points are carried over to the spring semester provided you purchase the same plan as the fall semester or one of higher value. Spring semester points may be used from Saturday, January 23, 2010 through Sunday, May 16, 2010 (spring commencement). All unused points are forfeited at that time.
Designated dining locations may be closed during holidays or when classes are not in session. All meal plans are tax-exempt.
