Bio

Kristin Weingartner, Associate Dean of First-Year Programs and Associate Professor of Psychology at Hofstra University, completed her graduate studies in Cognitive Psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Dr. Weingartner teaches a graduate course in Perception and Cognition, and undergraduate courses in Cognition and Research Methods. Her research interests are in the general areas of reading comprehension and memory. Dr. Weingartner has published her findings in journals such as Behavioral Research Methods, Scientific Studies of Reading, Memory & Cognition, the Journal of Cognitive Psychology, and the Journal of Memory & Language. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Psychonomic Society, and the Society for Text & Discourse.
