Apply for your Personal Identification Number(s) (PIN)
To apply for financial aid, you will need one or more Personal Identification Numbers:
- Every student should apply for US Department of Education PIN. This number is required when filing for federal financial aid (e.g. FASFA). This can be done at: www.pin.ed.gov or call 1-800-4 FED AID (1-800-433-3243).
- New York State Residents should also apply for a New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) PIN so that they may file for New York State's Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). This can be done at www.hesc.ny.gov or call: 1-888-NYSHESC
While International Students are not eligible for federal or state funding, they may qualify for University Scholarships.
