Workforce Funding May Cover the Cost of Your Career Training
Eligible Long Island residents may qualify for workforce-development funding for select Hofstra EDGE Career Pathway programs.
Hofstra University has partnered with Long Island workforce development agencies, including the Town of Oyster Bay Workforce Office and Town of Hempstead Workforce Office, to provide approved, high-demand career training programs under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Who May Qualify?
Funding is determined by your local workforce agency, but generally, you may be eligible if you are:
- ✓ Unemployed adults
- ✓ Underemployed adults seeking higher wages
- ✓ Dislocated or recently laid-off workers
- ✓ Career changers looking for a transition
- ✓ Veterans transitioning to civilian careers
- ✓ Recent college graduates working below their potential

- A Hofstra CE advisor reviews within 1 business day
- Advisor directs you to the correct workforce agency (e.g. Town of Oyster Bay)
- You pursue funding approval
- Enroll at Hofstra once approved
