Hofstra CE's Paralegal Studies Certificate Program prepares students for this dynamic field, which will add 21,200 positions in law firms, corporations, banks, insurance companies, government agencies and courts by 2024 (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Obtaining a Paralegal Studies Certificate can also pave the way to law school and a career as an attorney. The 306-hour program is approved by the American Bar Association and all courses are taught by caring faculty who are professionals in the legal field. Hofstra CE offers flexible class schedules, with day or evening programs -- and you can finish your coursework within six months!
After completing the Paralegal Studies Certificate, students will be prepared to work in the public and private sector legal communities, and will understand the ethical mandates of the profession -- something that is emphasized in the Hofstra CE coursework. Our Paralegal Studies Certificate Program believes in the importance of network and experience so our administrators and faculty mentor students throughout their classwork. We also increase students’ understanding of the field as well as their future job potential by offering optional internship opportunities. The Paralegal Studies Certificate Program will also shows students the specific substantive and procedural aspects of New York law to insure success in the field within the Metropolitan area. Plus, Hofstra University has the famed 593,830-volume Deane Law Library, which you’ll have access to as you study. After you graduate, Hofstra CE continues helping you with various career services, including resume writing instruction, interviewing techniques and how to develop an effective job search plan. The Paralegal Career Center receives job postings on a regular basis and these are forwarded to graduates.
