The Hofstra Cheerleading Specialty is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for campers to find their inner strengths and learn how to work together as a team. Through “ice breakers” and various other games, campers will learn how to positively interact with one another. Each activity is specifically chosen to provide the optimum cheerleading outcomes. Instructors work with campers individually and in groups organized according to age and their skill level, finding their strengths to properly place them in the routine. The Cheerleading Program is designed to enhance a child’s self-confidence and enthusiasm in a fun, low-pressure environment. Cheers are developed through the teaching of fundamentals, such as tumbling, jumps, dance and exercise. The session concludes with a showcase performance during which campers show off their new skills to their families and other Hofstra campers.
