Richard Hayes received his Ph.D. in Management and Organizations from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Dr. Hayes has presented research at the annual meetings for the Academy of Management, American Sociological Association, Eastern Sociological Association, Western Academy of Management and the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He has won many teaching awards such as: Graduate Professor of the Year at NCCU for 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 academic years as well as Undergraduate Professor of the Year for 2005-2006 academic year. He is a member of multiple honor societies, including the Delta of Georgia chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, Golden Key National Honor Society and Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society.
