Dr. John Impagliazzo is a professor at Hofstra University, Computer Science Department, where he served as the Department Chair between 1987 and 1993. His research is in computing history and digital libraries. He is the ACM, Editor-in-Chief, of inroads, ACM SIGCSE Bulletin, was the chair of the ACM Computing Accreditation Commission between 2000 and 2002; is a Co-Organizer of IFIP conference on the History of Computing in Education (2004). He received in 2007 a Lifetime Service Award from the ACM, Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE).
